U.S. Army Chooses tiag® for IM/IT Solutions to Advance Force Readiness and Resilience

RESTON, Va., May 9, 2018 – Accelerating the force readiness and resilience of U.S. Army soldiers, family members and civilians, tiag® was chosen as prime contractor to provide comprehensive Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) support for the ArmyFit website during the next two years.

ArmyFit is a secure, restricted access IT platform designed to support the Army Resiliency Directorate (ARD) Ready and Resilient Campaign. Known internally as R2, this campaign redefines the way forward for the Army’s management, organization and coordination of relevant programs and services. The R2 initiative provides policies, tools, and integrated training and resources to enhance resilience and optimize the performance of soldiers and their family members, along with Department of Army civilians.

The ArmyFit site will provide access to a vast collection of health and fitness content ranging from self-development and self-help resources to resilience-training modules designed to inform, educate and provide services centering on physical and psychological health, fitness and human performance optimization. The site will also host Army’s Global Assessment Tool (GAT) — a survey-based self-assessment tool designed to improve overall health and well-being.

“The ArmyFit site is innovative because it focuses on self-help and delivers valuable content and feedback custom-tailored to each individual, based on their confidential responses to the Global Assessment Tool,” says tiag Executive Director Arthur “Charlie” Doutt, referring to personalized reports that identify aspects of physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social and family resilience.

Doutt notes that aggregated GAT survey responses also enlighten Army leadership via comprehensive data collection and reporting capability designed to measure, track and assess the comprehensive fitness of all U.S. Army soldiers and civilians — including active and reserve service members and their families — from recruitment through transition and retirement.

“In this meaningful work to provide essential self-improvement tools and solutions, tiag will be enhancing the lives of our nation’s solders and delivering life-saving information for those in need,” says tiag Managing Principal and Chief Strategy Officer Umang Modi, noting that among other benefits, the ArmyFit website endeavors to decrease Amy suicides. “We are honored to support the Ready and Resilient Campaign, integral to U.S. Army’s strategy for strengthening soldiers and fostering a culture of trust to promote deployability, successful service and unit cohesion.”
