TIAG Now Officially Part of the Adopt-a-Highway Program in Virginia

TIAG—an innovative technology company providing strategic, transformational solutions to private industry and across the Department of Defense—is pleased to announce that they have adopted the a section of the 286/Fairfax County Parkway beginning just east of the 267 overpass heading west and ending at the Elden St. overpass in Virginia to clean and care for. 

“Each year, more than 23,000 Adopt-a-Highway volunteers collect more than 44,000 bags of waste along Virginia’s highways and we are proud and excited to be part of this effort,” shares TIAG President and Chief Operating Officer, Neil Lampton.

The Virginia Adopt-a-Highway program began in 1988 and is one of the largest programs in the country. With their adoption of this stretch of highway, TIAG is now part of a top-notch environmental effort, joining tens of thousands of other Virginians in a program that’s been nationally recognized for “superior progress in the prevention and collection of litter.”

Adopt-a-Highway volunteers clean more than 2,000 miles of highways annually. In an effort to raise public awareness and overcome littering behaviors, the TIAG VA cleanup team hosted their first monthly cleanup on October 23.
