tiag® Launches Twitter Veterans Day Campaign Honoring Service Members and Supporting Warrior Canine Connection
RESTON, Va., Nov. 5, 2016—tiag®– an innovative IT firm where one of every four employees is a veteran – is launching a Veterans Day campaign via Twitter to acknowledge the honorable service of American military veterans. The campaign also supports Warrior Canine Connection (WCC)—a pioneering organization that maximizes the physiological and psychological animal-human connection of service dogs to help wounded warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities and each other.
Between November 6-11, 2016, tiag invites U.S. veterans to upload an image to Twitter picturing themselves in uniform, along with a Tweet that respectfully conveys why they served, using the hashtags #WhyIServed and #VeteransDay2016. For each Tweet that includes a photo of the service member in uniform and a quote using both hashtags, tiag will contribute funds to WCC, which utilizes clinically based canine connection therapy and a mission-based trauma recovery model to help recovering warriors reconnect.
“We are extremely grateful to all U.S. veterans and families for their selfless service to our country, and tiag is pleased to support WCC’s program that harnesses the healing power of the Warrior Ethos and the human-animal bond to diminish the symptoms of combat trauma,” says Dalita Harmon, tiag president and CEO.
