TIAG® and CoachMePlus Receive Small Business Innovation Research Award to Bring Innovative Performance and Readiness Technology to U.S. Air Force
Warrior Performance Platform (WP2) Improves Well-Being through Nutrition, Fitness and Human Performance
RESTON, Va., March 21, 2019 – TIAG® — an innovative technology company providing strategic, transformational solutions to private industry and across the Department of Defense (DoD) — together with partner company CoachMePlus, was recently selected for the first phase of a highly competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award to bring the innovative Warrior Performance Platform (WP2™) to the U.S. Air Force.
This SBIR award is an outcome of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and technology accelerator AFWERX, which partner to provide SBIR funding for innovative companies and products that can help the Air Force achieve its mission.
TIAG previously teamed with CoachMePlus to develop WP2 for the DoD community. The goal of this three-month, SBIR Phase I effort is to identify Air Force customers interested in piloting the WP2 capability, which would occur through subsequent Phase II awards.
TIAG Vice President of Operations and National Security Dan McCarron notes that this award will expand upon the WP2 work TIAG is already doing for the U.S. Navy.
“We are excited about this award, which allows us the opportunity to bring the WP2 capability to the Air Force market and to ultimately pilot the platform with numerous Air Force organizations that want to determine how WP2 can enhance and improve their operations,” says McCarron.
