As Managing Principal and Chief Strategy Officer at TIAG, Umang leads the company in identifying emerging customer needs and sectors and in reaching new milestones. With more than 25-years of experience and a proven entrepreneurial approach and methodology, Umang is known for making strategy happen. His rapid, successful decision-making has created momentum and significantly grown TIAG’s operating revenue. 

A results-driven executive, Umang works directly with TIAG’s leaders to ensure the company’s principles and values are inherent in every client interaction. He has a unique ability to strategically identify and address opportunities from a macro and micro perspective. His deep experience leading major initiatives and providing technical leadership across complex organizational structures enables him to develop and implement creative solutions to the diverse challenges the highly regulated, ever-changing GovCon industry faces.

This has driven significant innovation, business process transformation, and service expansion for TIAG and its customers, ranging from identifying and capturing new sectors, such as the Department of Homeland Security, to expanding into key markets, including Huntsville and Charleston.

Umang has consistently enabled the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to achieve mission success through the design and delivery of innovative, high-impact solutions. His support spans a broad portfolio of organizations, including the Naval Information Warfare Centers, Defense Health Agency, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command, Army Analytics Group, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, U.S. Army Research Laboratory, U.S. Army Materiel Command, and Letterkenny Army Depot.

Umang began his career at TIAG as a senior systems engineer and lead solutions architect. Over 18 years, he has held key leadership roles, including Director, General Manager, and Vice President. As Chief Strategy Officer, he drives growth, advances product development, and strengthens market and customer insights. Prior to TIAG, Umang served as a Systems Engineer at MSSI and a Systems Administrator at SAIC. 

He is an active member of HIMSS and AFCEA, a frequent contributor to the Forbes Business Development Council and Senior Executive Cybersecurity Think Tank, and a published thought leader with Newsweek. He also mentors internal technology and portfolio teams and has been recognized as a President’s Circle Awardee and a Distinguished Speaker at the CA IT Government Expo.
