Nation’s Military Health Professions Academy Chooses tiag® for Extensive IT Migration Efforts

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 20, 2018 – Advancing the mission of Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) as the nation’s military health profession academy, tiag® was awarded a new contract for the USUHS Centers & Affiliates Assessment and Migration effort.

Serving as prime contractor and collaborating with The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc., tiag will migrate IT equipment and users within several USU Research Centers located near the main campus. tiag will then assess the remaining 18 centers for these extensive migration efforts, which will consolidate USUHS Centers’ operational environments, systems and applications into the university’s accredited .edu environment.

The results will provide greater Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) insight and control of the day-to-day operations and security posture of these organizations. In addition to validating Center compliance with applicable Department of Defense IM/IT policies, tiag’s work will simultaneously reduce costs by eliminating redundant services and delivering enhanced IM/IT services to the USUHS Centers.

tiag Executive Director for Military Health Arthur “Charlie” Doutt notes that this prime award leverages tiag’s IT expertise and vast institutional knowledge gleaned during tiag’s support of USUHS since 2010 — including tiag’s original assessment and EDU migration at the USUHS main campus, and high-profile migrations for other federal organizations.

“In this work, tiag is advancing the missions of numerous USUHS centers of excellence and institutes integral to military medicine and world health,” says Doutt, noting that tiag will add new team members for this project, including a system migration lead, migration project manager and lead network engineer. “We’re excited and honored to be awarded this new contract, which fortifies tiag’s posture as the chief provider of IT solutions at USUHS, and solidifies our company’s reputation as a leading provider of network and data migration within DoD.”
