tiag Awarded Contract to Advance Critical Missions of U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command
RESTON, Va., Oct. 28, 2015 – tiag® (The Informatics Applications Group) was recently awarded a contract expansion to continue advancing the mission of U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command (WTC) through critical operations and maintenance of its Army Warrior Care and Transition System (AWCTS).
WTC chose tiag as its preferred provider of information technology services based on the firm’s superior performance and innovative solutions tiag has provided for the command in a trusted relationship dating to 2009. In its prior software development and engineering work for AWCTS, tiag streamlined the application, boosted system responsiveness and enhanced user experience. Leveraging the big benefits of virtualization, tiag also reduced hardware redundancy and minimized down time, resulting in substantial government savings.
Impressed by these improvements and the value of tiag’s work, the command chose tiag for the next phase of this project, which involves training and outreach to promote use of AWCTS, in addition to interfacing with the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization solution.
“We are honored to continue supporting this mission that safeguards and enhances the welfare of soldiers and their families,” says tiag general manager Umang Modi. “Our employees who have advanced this mission during the past two years, along with new talent we’re bringing on board, share a collective commitment to WTC and are eager to apply their specialized expertise to ensure outstanding results.”
The AWCTS was developed to consolidate various information management and information technology (IM/IT) systems that supported WTC and its direct reporting units. Expert IM/IT professionals from tiag’s team have helped the AWCTS mission forward since 2013 — providing critical operations and maintenance ranging from research and development to testing and evaluation to modernize the system.
