U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Chooses tiag® for MyVA Dashboard System to Improve Service and Heighten Veteran Trust in VA
RESTON, Va., Oct. 24, 2016 — tiag® was chosen to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the mission to modernize VA’s culture, processes and capabilities. As a prime contractor in the Department’s MyVA transformation effort, tiag will provide IT solutions expertise for the MyVA Dashboard system—which will measure effectiveness of the MyVA initiatives to put the needs, expectations and interests of veterans and their families first.
Aligned with the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 and the Commission on Care recommendations for transforming veterans’ health care, the MyVA transformation and MyVA Dashboard will have great visibility throughout VA in the quest to make the Department a world-class service provider that puts veterans in control of how, when, and where they wish to be served.
Dalita Harmon, tiag’s president and CEO, notes that this work is intrinsic in VA’s twelve breakthrough priorities that Veteran Affairs Secretary Robert A. McDonald outlined for the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee earlier this year. “We are honored to help advance the Department’s goal to establish agency-wide customer experience measurements that will enable service improvements and increase veterans’ trust in VA,” says Harmon.
Brian Morgan, general manager of tiag’s Veterans Affairs Business Unit, explains that the MyVA Dashboard will empower leaders and managers at all levels of the agency to monitor and view detailed information about veteran and employee satisfaction. “This ability to determine VA’s ongoing progress in meeting the MyVA goals will help VA leadership make informed decisions about various courses of action associated with MyVA strategy and effectiveness,” Morgan says.
In this first task order associated with tiag’s prime contract supporting VA’s Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation acquisition program (T4NG), tiag will work with its subcontractor partner Phase One.
