tiag Supports Khan Academy: Reinventing Education With Technology

tiag proudly contributes to a worthy cause whose demonstrated use of technology is successfully transforming the future of education internationally.  Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization on a mission to provide a free world-class education for anyone anywhere.  Starting simply as a YouTube tutoring effort for the founder Salman Khan’s young cousins, Khan Academy has grown into a carefully structured series of online educational material offering curricula in subjects from basic Math to college Biology and Art History.  Their interactive exercises, instructional videos, and dashboard analytics support a personalized education for 10 million users per month in a scalable way.

Social responsibility remains a part of tiag’s culture.  Consistent with tiag’s culture of making a difference in the work it does, tiag was inspired by the tremendous positive impact Khan Academy is having in its continuous efforts changing education for the better.  “When the company chooses where to give back, we choose organizations that are making a difference in people’s lives,” said tiag’s President and CEO, Dalita Harmon.  “I’m especially fond of educational endeavors because of the long-term positive impact it has, not only in the life of the children served, but in the work those children later do and the life they lead as a result,” she added.
