Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Operations Medical Information Systems (JOMIS) Program Management Office (PMO)
The Defense Healthcare Management Systems (DHMS) Program Executive Office delivers critical medical treatment IT solutions to all Military Health System beneficiaries, including those in theater environments and remote operations throughout the garrison. To ensure reliable interoperable medical support for mobilization, deployment and sustainment of all theater and deployed forces, the program management office of DHA JOMIS supports the specialized needs of the military's medical business practice.
The customer has a critical need for technologies that can provide accurate and timely delivery of medical data to care providers and decisions makers in a military theater setting. DHA required enhancement and sustainment support for clinical components of the Theater Medical Information Program Joint (TMIP-J), a systems framework with an integrated software suite that supports the U.S. military’s deployed medical business practice.
tiag was chosen to enhance and sustain clinical components of the TMIP-J suite, specifically, the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application-Theater (AHLTA-T), the Theater Medical Information Program Composite Health Care System Caché (TC2), and the Mobile Computing Capability (MCC). These applications enable documentation and management for clinical care, medical supplies and equipment, and patient movement. For the mobile application (MCC), tiag ensures that as operational and theater medicine systems are modernized, they synchronize and align with the electronic health records (EHR) system intrinsic in the Department of Defense (DoD) Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM). The ultimate quest is to improve the clinical care and information capture at all levels of care in theater, and forge the theater links of the EHR — transmitting critical information to the evacuation chain for combat and noncombat casualties.
Utilizing a progressive methodology for mobile platform and software development, tiag is delivering solutions to meet dynamic needs of the DoD across multi-year missions. Now, electronic health records and other medical information can be transmitted from the theater and garrison repositories, guaranteeing the availability of critical medical data to care providers and decisions makers. This mission solidifies tiag’s expertise in theater medicine and reinforces our commitment to supporting soldiers in harm’s way.
