Letterkenny Army Depot develops and delivers materiel readiness for Air Defense forces of the United States and its international partners, and builds combat power for combined and joint route clearance operations worldwide. LEAD’s Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) supports a mission to provide the highest level of reliable IT while also expanding IT services to ensure information flows seamlessly within the LEAD community.

The Challenge

As the IT backbone of LEAD, DOIM is tasked with delivering superior maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, life cycle support and service to support the worldwide LEAD mission. To speed logistics and materiel movement for the Army and its service members, DOIM needed tiag to automate and support LEAD’s entire IM/IT lifecycle and datacenter operations, and to deliver innovative IT solutions and services that reduce processing times, purchases, order tracking and materiel movement.

The Solution

To streamline and consolidate processes while minimizing labor-intensive tasks, DOIM entrusted tiag with multiple IT requirements — from developing user-friendly applications that maximize efficiency, to providing services and solutions for systems networking, database administration, systems administration and information assurance. In addition, tiag provides the highest level of quality customer service for a tier-two help desk that supports thousands of users.

The Result

tiag’s expertise and accomplishments in this work include revamping and consolidating LEAD’s vast network infrastructure, migrating LEAD’s SharePoint servers to the Army Enterprise Portal, and implementing the Army's Logistic and Modernization Program — a high-visibility data analytics and custom reporting project in direct support of LEAD’s command staff. In each of these initiatives, tiag was able to increase process efficiencies for multiple LEAD operations, deliver exceptional customer service, boost user satisfaction and provide a stalwart IT/IM environment for the overall LEAD mission — all at a substantial cost savings.
